We met at a party but we finally connected after my wife religiously shared the Alpha hour prayer link with me – Harold Amenyah

Ghanaian actor and presenter,  Harold Amenyah has finally opened up about how he met his wife, Irene Amenyah after trolls mocked her on social media following their wedding ceremony.

The couple who have since launched a YouTube channel shared a new video recounting how they initially met and what triggered their love story.

According to the XOXO actor, he was smitten with her when they met at a friend’s party.

Harold said Irene arrived late at the soiree and failed to speak to the people present. At the end of the event, he approached her and asked why she didn’t say hello to anyone.

Despite initially rejecting Harold’s request for her number, he took it upon himself to find her number and connect over the phone.

“She didn’t know who I was, she didn’t even care, but I didn’t mind. When she walked away and we parted ways, I called the friend she had come to see, and I said, ‘Listen, this is the situation, and I want your friend’s number,” Harold said.

However, in a shocking twist, Irene who was ignoring his personal messages would only reply with links to the famous Alpha Hour prayer sessions at midnight.

“When I got home, I texted her and said, ‘This is Harold. I got your number from your friend.’ I didn’t get a response early, so I dropped my phone somewhere. It was quite late, so I slept,” he recounted

He continued: “You replied with Alpha Hour links and I was like, ‘Okay, you are meeting the person for the first time, and they are sending you a link to a prayer meeting.’ I was like, “Okay, what is this thing?”

“When I woke up, I texted her and clicked the link, and I saw that it was a prayer meeting. She skipped all that I wanted to know about her and went straight to inviting me to join the prayer session,” he narrated.

Harold said he found her actions to be both intriguing and frustrating, but he remained resolute in pursuing her.

“The next morning we spoke a bit, and in the evening she sent me another link to the Alpha Hour, but then I didn’t hear from her the whole day or something. She would ignore my messages, but then, when it was 12 a.m., she would send me a link to pray,” he pointed out

He began attending the prayer meetings and gradually got to know Irene better.

Over time, they developed a deep connection based on their shared faith and love for God which led to their marriage a few weeks back.
