BHIM Nation president and CEO of Burniton Music Group, Stonebwoy, has recently disclosed that he is reluctant to mentor a new generation of artists.
Despite signing on talented musicians such as OV Music and Kelvin Boy in the past, the ‘Into The Future’ singer disclosed that he lacks the energy to take on the role of a mentor due to various issues within the music industry.
“It goes on constantly, and I can mention a lot of names right now, but we all saw what happened and all of that, so there’s a huge issue with our system,” he revealed
Stonebwoy during a radio appearance highlighted the challenges he has faced in a bid to mentor others including the potential for investments to go wrong and the numerous factors that can drain one’s enthusiasm and motivation.
“Because of that, there are so many things and investments that can go wrong coupled with too much stuff that can make you lose vim,” the Dancehall singer reiterated.
However, he made it clear that despite the setbacks, he remains unafraid and committed to extending support and assistance to others in the industry.
“When something makes you lose vim and to be able to do it again you have to be careful to strategize but I’m not afraid at all and I’ll always continue to help people,” Stonbwoy said.

Stonebwoy, known for his reticence regarding his strained relationship with his protégé Kelvyn Boy and OV Music, has been embroiled in a public feud with the artist since 2019.
Both parties have engaged in social media jabs, hinting at the underlying tension between them.
Despite the lack of a manager-artist relationship, Kelvyn Boy has consistently shown respect towards Stonebwoy, urging his fans not to speak negatively about the renowned artist.
Another artist formerly associated with Burniton Music Group, OV, also shed light on her abrupt departure from the record label.

During an interview with Giovanni Caleb on 3FM Drive, she revealed that her exit had a significant impact on her mental health, causing depression and instability.
“It put me through some state that I will not wish for my enemy. It put me through a lot. I was depressed. It got to a point I stayed away from everybody,” OV explained.
OV said her experience left her questioning her own worth and feeling uncertain about her place in a record label.
“It was after the exit. It was something that hit me very hard. It got me thinking, ‘Am I not enough? It started giving me doubts about deserving to be on a label,” he told Giovanni
