Ernest Nuamah clinches Man of the Match Award in crucial Ligue 1 victory

Black Stars winger Ernest Nuamah secured his first Man of the Match accolade since joining Olympique Lyon, following an outstanding performance against Olympique Marseille.
Nuamah played a pivotal role in his team’s crucial 1-0 victory over Marseille in the French Ligue 1 over the weekend.
The 20-year-old, who played the entire duration of the match, showcased his skills by completing seven out of 12 dribbling attempts, winning nine out of 16 ground duels, and delivering accurate passes 21 out of 27 times. Despite missing a notable chance, Nuamah’s efforts played a pivotal role in lifting Lyon out of the relegation zone.

The impressive performance follows a challenging campaign for Nuamah at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast, where he represented Ghana. Despite a frustrating outing, he has quickly bounced back on the domestic front.
