Bazaki Football tournament: Academy XI edge Legon All-Stars on penalties to win maiden edition
The maiden edition of the Basaki Football tournament took place at the Kawukudi Park at Nima earlier today.

Both sides were unable to be separated after regular time in a high-octane final, which saw both teams come close on a number of ocassions.

But it was Academy who would have the last laugh as they narrowly edged Legon All-Stars on penalty shootout to clinch the first edition of the Bazaki Football tournament.

The Bazaki Football tournament is an event organised by Mohammed Kudus and Skechers to unearth talents in Nima and help young footballers achieve their dreams of becoming professionals.

The 10-team tournament was graced by West Ham star Kudus and other high profile dignitaries at the Kawukudi Park on Sunday.

A number of dignitaries graced the event, including former Ghana Football Association Communications Director Ibrahim Sannie Daara, who expressed his delight with the organisation of the competition.
