In an exclusive interview with 3Sports on the sidelines of the event, Kuruwaa shared what inspired her to play football and how she got the opportunity to participate in the tournament.
“I started playing in KG2, I saw guys playing in my hometown in the western region I told the coach I could play he didn’t believe it till he gave me a jersey and I proved him wrong from there he took me to play in the inter-schools competition, I then got the opportunity to get selected to join the western team,” she said

“The relationship between the child, the family the team is strong and the support base is big. Rachael do not only play football but also good with academics,” her coach said.
Just like every younger player, Racheal has bigger dreams and aspires to become a great player in the future. She also draws inspiration from her mother’s inability to pursue her dreams.
“I want to play professional football and be known in the world. I want to play like Pedri he is my role model.
