Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has committed his future to Bournemouth after penning a deal, which keeps him at the club until 2030.
Semenyo joined the Cherries from Bristol City for €10.3m in 2023.
Since then, the Ghanaian forward, who can play along the front three, has impressed immensely for Bournemouth, not least his 11-goal Premier League campaign for Bournemouth last term.
The extension of his stay with Bournemouth puts an end to speculation about Semenyo’s future.
The Ghanaian had been heavily linked with a number of Premier League sides, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle.
Spurs were favourites to land Semenyo but recent reports suggest the London-based club have turned their attention to Semenyo’s country man Mohammed Kudus, with the club reportedly in talks over personal terms with the player.
Semenyo, who has scored 22 goals in 89 games at Bournemouth, said:
“I’ve grown so much at the club, both on and off the pitch, and I’m really happy to have signed ahead of returning for pre-season.
“From the fans to the staff and my teammates, I can’t speak highly enough of the people around the club. It’s a great place to be and I’m excited to get back to Bournemouth and continue the hard work with the new season just around the corner,” he added after signing his contract.
Semenyo is expected to join his teammates from vacation ahead of pre-season.
