Former Ghana Football Association Communications Director Sannie Dara has recommended that Black Stars vice-captain Thomas Partey ponder the lucrative Saudi Arabia offer.
Partey is currently a free agent following the expiration of his Arsenal contract on June 30.
The 32-year-old midfielder spent five seasons in North London after joining from Atletico Madrid in 2020. The Ghanaian international accumulated around 167 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 9 times and providing 7 assists.
Despite encountering injury setbacks throughout his tenure in North London, Partey has been a crucial component of Arteta’s midfield. As a free agent, speculation surrounding his potential next club has been rampant.
Although heavily linked to a stay in Europe with teams like FC Barcelona, Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, and his former team Atletico Madrid all showing interest, reports suggest Partey could head to Saudi Arabia.
Partey has been on the radar of teams from the Gulf, specifically Saudi Arabia, for an extended period. During his appearance on TV3 Sports Station on Monday, Sannie Dara confirmed that multiple Saudi clubs have indeed made moves to secure the services of the Ghanaian international.

“The interest from Saudi Arabia has been true. And even one more club in Saudi Arabia has been added to the clubs that were originally interested in him.
Despite interest from Europe Sannie has advised the former Arsenal midfielder to move to Saudi Arabia.
“There are some other clubs also in France and in Italy interested in him[Partey]. But for me, my advice to Thomas, and I’ve told him this thing personally, my advice to him is that at his age, he should look at what he will spend from now until the rest of his life.
According to CAF media officer, the money involved could be a life-changing opportunity for Partey.
“The money from Saudi Arabia is tempting. I think he should go for the Saudi money, it will help him.”
Saudi Arabia has over the years splashed enormous sums of money on players with the aim of building a competitive league that can rival other continents.
As the transfer saga continues, it remains to be seen whether Partey will stay in Europe or make the move to the Gulf region.
