Dr Kwame Kyei’s Nations FC close in on Ghana Premier League promotion

Asante Kotoko board chairman, Dr Kwame Kyei’s club, Nations FC, are on the verge of securing promotion to the Ghana Premier League following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Pacific Heroes.

Asamoah Boateng Afriyie scored the decisive goal in the first half, marking Nations FC’s 19th win of the season and extending their impressive winning streak to nine matches.

With this latest triumph, Nations FC find themselves tantalisingly close to securing a coveted spot in the Ghana Premier League for the upcoming season. The team comfortably sit atop Zone Two with an impressive total of 63 points, providing them with a seven-point cushion over second-placed Daboase Skyy FC.

Nations FC’s promotion hopes now rest on just one more victory in their remaining three games. This accomplishment would propel them to the top of their zone, ensuring their long-awaited promotion to the top-tier league.

Nations FC will face tough tests in the coming weeks against WAFA, Soccer Intellectuals, and Asokwa Deportivo. The results of these matches will determine whether the team can maintain their winning streak and achieve their ultimate goal of achieving top-flight status for the first time in their history.
