The senior national team, Black Stars is without a manager following the dismissal of Milovan Rajevac who supervised Ghana's worst Africa Cup of Nations campaign in Cameroon last month.
Meanwhile, London-born former Premier League manager Chris Hughton, on holiday in Ghana, has been linked with the job.
According to reports, GFA wants to appoint Otto Addo, however, Hughton has the backing of the government to lead the team.
Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu in an interview with Accra-based Angel FM was asked about the trending issue and he responded, “Chris Hughton is a coach who knows how to build with average materials and that's Ghana's situation now. Our materials are not good so we need Chris to weld. Otto Addo is just a second coach for Dortmund.”
