Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah received a rousing farewell by Al Khartoum Al Watani SC on Saturday after the side’s 3-0 win over Tirat Al Bija. Al Khartoum is currently 15th on 18-team log. Appiah, who has previously captained and coached the Black Stars, was reappointed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Tuesday, April 4. He has lost only once in his last five league matches. Appiah could monitor his side’s midweek fixture against Merreikh Nyala after which he will prepare to officially take over as Stars’ coach on May 1. Appiah left the job he is returning to in 2014 in a mutual consent with the GFA. He had led Ghana to a world cup in 2014 as the first Ghanaian. But the campaign was rocked by internal wrangling leaving Ghana with just a point after the group phase. By Emmanuel Kwame Amoh|editors.3news.com|Ghana Follow @kwame_amoh
