Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus bagged his third Premier League goal of the season, but it wasn’t enough for West Ham to secure a win against Crystal Palace. The game ended 1-1 at London Stadium on Sunday.

Kudus opened the scoring for the Hammers after 13 minutes, converting a cutback from Vladimir Coufal with a first-time finish. James Ward-Prowse had started the attack with a brilliant cross-field ball.

However, the hosts were pegged back when Konstantinos Mavropanos made a costly error. His poor back pass was intercepted by Odsonne Edouard, who calmly slotted home to level the score. Edouard’s goal was his sixth in the league this season.

In the second half, Mavropanos almost made up for his mistake when he rose to meet a cross into the box, but his header sailed wide of the far post.

Late in the game, Pablo Fornals’ cross found Jarrod Bowen, but his effort was easily gathered by away goalkeeper Sam Johnstone. The match ended with both teams sharing the points.

Kudus has now scored six goals across all competitions since joining West Ham from Ajax during the summer transfer window.
