Trent Alexander-Arnold emerged as the hero for Liverpool, scoring an 88th-minute winner to complete a stunning late comeback against Fulham in a seven-goal spectacle at Anfield.

Trailing 3-2 in the 87th minute, Liverpool levelled the score as Wataru Endo notched his first Premier League goal. In a dramatic sequence, Alexander-Arnold then secured the turnaround moments later.

The Liverpool right-back played a pivotal role in the opening goal, as his free-kick ricocheted off the crossbar and found the net off Fulham keeper Bernd Leno in the 20th minute. Former Red Harry Wilson equalized just four minutes later, but Alexis Mac Allister’s remarkable long-range strike put Liverpool back in the lead after 38 minutes.

Kenny Tete once again levelled the score for Fulham in first-half injury time, and Bobby De Cordova-Reid’s header in the 80th minute gave the Cottagers a surprise lead. Fulham seemed poised to end Liverpool’s 13-month unbeaten home record in the Premier League.

However, in a dramatic turn of events, Liverpool maintained their perfect home record this season and closed the gap on Arsenal at the top to two points.
