Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah and manager Jurgen Klopp were involved in a touchline altercation during the Reds’ 2-2 draw against West Ham on Saturday.

The incident unfolded as Salah, who had been omitted from the starting lineup following criticism of his performance in the Merseyside derby, was preparing to enter the match with 11 minutes remaining at The London Stadium.

Klopp and Salah exchanged words on the touchline after a missed chance by West Ham, with Salah subsequently being separated by Joe Gomez and Darwin Nunez.

Speaking to reporters in the post-match mixed zone, Salah declined interview requests, stating, “If I speak today there will be fire.”

Klopp refrained from disclosing the specifics of the incident but mentioned, “We spoke already in the dressing room. For me, that’s done.”

When asked if Salah felt the matter was resolved, Klopp indicated, “That’s my impression, yes.”

Liverpool’s draw with West Ham marks another setback in their bid for the Premier League title. The team has won just one of their last five league matches.

They currently trail second-placed Manchester City by a point, with City holding two games in hand, and sit two points behind league leaders Arsenal, who have one game in hand.
