Ghana delivered an impressive performance, securing a convincing 3-0 victory over Guinea-Bissau in the second leg of the 2024 FIFA U-20 World Cup qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

With a comfortable three-goal advantage carried over from the first leg, the Ghanaian team, referred to as the Princesses, clinched a commanding 6-0 aggregate win, earning them a spot in the third round, where they are scheduled to face Eswatini.

The first half of the match concluded without any goals, despite the Black Princesses dominating possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities. Notably, Success Ameyaa and Mercy Attobra had close calls, but they were unable to capitalise on their chances.

The Black Princesses eventually broke the deadlock in the 49th minute when Tracy Twum found the back of the net. This goal injected new energy into the team, leading to another remarkable victory, with Wasiima Mohammed and Helen Alormemu also contributing to the scoreline.

The team’s main goal is to advance to the final qualifying round, where they could potentially go up against formidable opponents like Senegal, Benin, or Uganda. Securing victory in this round would earn them the coveted ticket to Colombia.
