Berekum Chelsea coach Samuel Boadu has voiced his aspirations to lead the Black Stars in the future.

Boadu, expressed his ambition during an interview with Akoma FM, affirming his readiness to take on the prestigious role.

“I think I want to manage the senior national team the Black Stars just like any other coach.”

The 38-year-old has emerged as a prominent figure in Ghana football management, showcasing his tactical prowess and leadership abilities across various clubs.

Notably, he guided Hearts of Oak to a resounding triumph in the 2020/21 season, securing an impressive treble by clinching the Ghana Premier League, FA Cup, and Super Cup titles.

Boadu’s managerial acumen further manifested as he added to his accolades with another FA Cup title and the President’s Cup, amassing a total of five trophies during his tenure with Hearts of Oak.

The coaching position for the Black Stars recently became vacant following the dismissal of Chris Hughton, who failed to advance the team beyond the group stage of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Otto Addo was subsequently appointed to the role.

Acknowledging the competitive landscape of coaching appointments, Boadu acknowledged that his prospects of securing the Black Stars coaching job would hinge on his continued success at the club level. “But I also believe that will depend on how well I perform with my club,” he remarked, highlighting the importance of sustained excellence in his current managerial endeavors.
