Hearts of Oak continued their winning streak with a remarkable come-from-behind victory over Nsoatreman on Sunday, further solidifying their form under new coach Aboubakar Ouattara.

Despite facing an early setback with Nsoatreman taking the lead, Hearts of Oak exhibited resilience and determination to clinch a 2-1 win on the road.

In the 23rd minute, poor defending allowed Walid Neymah Fuseini of Nsoatreman to score the opening goal, putting Hearts of Oak on the back foot.

However, Ouattara’s halftime tactics proved effective, with Salifu Ibrahim leveling the scores through a deflected effort, and Ivorian forward Cisse Kassim securing the victory with a fine goal eight minutes later.

This triumph marked the Phobians’ second consecutive win under Coach Ouattara’s guidance, propelling them to seventh place in the standings. Although they still trail leaders Samartex by eight points, the team’s newfound consistency raises hopes of a potential title push with several matches left to play.

Meanwhile, Nsoatreman, positioned ahead of former Ghana Premier League champions in the table currently occupy the fourth spot with 30 points after 19 games.

In other notable matches, Berekum Chelsea displayed dominance by defeating Karela United 3-0, courtesy of a brace from Mizack Afriyie. Additionally, Paa Kwesi Fabin’s Berekum Chelsea held Accra Lions to a stalemate in the Accra derby, further shaping the dynamics of the league.

League leaders Samartex will welcome promoted side Nations FC as the NSenkyire Satium on Monday while Real Tamale United host Bofoakwa Tano in a survival showdown.
