Commonwealth Games: Ghana suffer 11-0 defeat to India in Hockey

Ghana suffered a thumping defeat at the hands of India in the men’s hockey at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The Indians scored five goals in the first half before adding four and two goals in the final two quarters. India converted six of the 13 penalty corners they were awarded during the game.

The Indians completely dominated the game, allowing Black Sticks to barely enter their D.

Ghana had five penalty corners, but the Indian defence did everything it could to keep their opponents at bay.

The Black Sticks have been underwhelming, losing heavily in their first two games. They lost their first game 6-0 to England and currently sit last in their group.

They’ll be hoping to get better before their third game against Canada.
