In their Instagram Stories, they wrote, “After a period of separation, the two of us have arrived at the decision to part ways. We came to this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.”

“God has blessed us with two beautiful daughters who we will continue to raise together,” Chance and Kirsten emphasized as they pledge their commitment to co-parent their daughters Kensli, 7, and Marli, 4.

The couple requested privacy and respect during this transition.

This news comes after nearly a year of fans’ speculation over Chance’s marital issues, which began after video of him dancing with a different woman during his 30th birthday party in Jamaica appeared online.

Corley has previously alluded to underlying problems with a Maya Angelou quote on Instagram regarding the difficulties of growing up. Corley and Chance the Rapper share a long history that dates back to their childhood.

Chance recalled their initial meeting at his mother’s work function in 2003, when he was just 9 years old. He gushed about meeting Corley in a series of tweets from March 2019, calling her “the prettiest girl I ever seen” while she and her pals were singing a Destiny’s Child song in the room.
