Prosecution to file disclosures by April 18 after filing 11 new charges against fmr. NDA boss, others

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has said it will be filing disclosures in the case involving Mr Sumaila Abdul-Rahman , Mr Stephen Yir-eru Engmen , Mr Patrick Seidu, the Chief Executive, the Deputy Chief Executive (Operations) and Deputy Chief Executive (Finance and Administration) respectively, of the Northern Development Authority and the Chief Executives of A&QS Consortium Limited Mr Andrew Kuundaari who have been charged for conspiracy to, directly and indirectly, influence the procurement process to obtain an unfair advantage in the award of a procurement contract.

On Tuesday April 4,the OSP said it filed 11 new charges against the accused persons.

They have all been admitted to bail to the sum of Ghc 2,000,000.

“…upon the following conditions: (1)submission of passport to the registry of High Court. (2) not to leave the jurisdiction without informing the court and (3) each accused to produce 2 sureties with an undertaking to pay the bail sum of Ghc 2, 000,000.

“Prosecution to file disclosures by April 18, 2023. Case Management Conference has been fixed for May 2, 2023 with possibility to open Prosecution’s case that same da,” the OSP tweeted.

The four persons earlier appeared before the High Court Criminal Division, Tamale on Tuesday 31st January 2023.

This followed the OSP’s publication of its Corruption Report on its investigation into the activities of the Northern Development Authority, pursuant to Reg. 31 (1) (g) of L.I. 2374.
