Former Deputy General Secretary of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Koku Anyidoho and Editor of the pro-opposition newspaper Informer, Mr Andy Kankam on Thursday June 3 attended the funeral ceremony of the late Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie (SirJohn).
In series of tweets, Mr Anyidoho said “This is where the mortal remains of Sir John will be interred in his holy village of Sakora Wonno.”
He added “Currently in Sakora Wonno with Andy Kankam and Charles Owusu preparing for the homeward journey of Sir John.”
Scores of mourners are attending the funeral of the flate former General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) under strict COVID-19 protocols.
Sir John will be laid to rest at the Sakora Wonoo family cemetery.
