Andre Ayew showcased his prowess on the pitch as Le Havre secured a hard-fought 3-3 draw against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in a thrilling Ligue 1 match on Saturday evening.

The 34-year-old Ayew played a pivotal role in the encounter at the Parc des Princes, scoring a brilliant goal to contribute to the entertaining spectacle. Starting the game and lasting 71 minutes, Ayew made his presence felt throughout the match.

The game kicked off with Le Havre taking the lead in the 19th minute, courtesy of a well-worked team goal finished by Christopher Operi. However, PSG quickly leveled the score in the 28th minute through Bradley Barcola.

The Black Stars captain then showcased his skill and determination by putting Le Havre back in front with a powerful left-footed strike in the 38th minute, following a clever backheel assist from Loic Nego.

Le Havre extended their lead to 3-1 in the 61st minute when Abdoulaye Toure converted a penalty, sending Keylor Navas the wrong way.

Despite Le Havre’s lead, PSG staged a remarkable comeback, with Achraf Hakimi pulling one back in the 78th minute. The drama reached its peak when Goncalo Ramos scored a sensational header in the 95th minute to secure a dramatic 3-3 draw.

The result meant that PSG would have to wait for another matchday to seal the trophy, as Le Havre’s resilient performance denied them victory once again.

However, if Monaco drops any point in their match on Sunday, PSG will be confirmed champions of the 2023/24 Ligue 1 season with three games to spare. Meanwhile, the French champions will just need a point in their remaining games to retain the title if Monaco keep winning.

Andre Ayew’s impressive performance against PSG further solidified his status as a key player for Le Havre this season. With five goals and two assists against PSG, Ayew has proven to be a thorn in their side, making them his favourite opponents in Ligue 1.

Throughout the season, Ayew has been a consistent performer for Le Havre, tallying three goals in 15 league appearances, demonstrating his importance to the team’s success.
