The multi-purpose office complex for Ghana’s Parliament popularly known as Job 600 is expected to be inaugurated for occupation by lawmakers today, Friday, November 6.

President John Dramani Mahama is expected to inaugurate the project, which will house all 275 members of Parliament.

The offices are, however, less than the number of parliamentarians.

In an interview with TV3 earlier this year, Majority Leader Alban Sumana Bagbin said the state-of-the-art facility has only 252 offices as it was built at a time there were only 230 members of Parliament.

Mr Bagbin hinted that some members – especially those with ministerial appointments – may have to share offices.

Those without ministerial positions will be given priority, the Nadowli Kaleo MP told TV3.

The project is expected to facilitate outside-of-the-floor functions of the lawmakers.
