The fire outbreak destroyed dockets and several documents belonging to judges on Wednesday morning.
The upper floor which served as chambers for judges and everything in there were reduced to ashes, TV3’s Kofi Adu Domfeh reports.
The cause of the fire was not readily known, but eyewitnesses say they heard an explosion which was immediately followed by the fire around 8:30 am.
It took personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service about 40 minutes to arrive at the scene to bring the inferno under control.
Proceedings in the various courtrooms were suspended as many fear it would seriously affect a number of cases being heard there.
