They are: Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye, minister designate for Youth and Sports; Albert Adongo, Upper East Region minister-designate; and Kweku Rickett Hagan, Central Region minister-designate.
The rest are Alexander Ackon for the Ashanti Region; Abdallah Abubakari, Northern Region; Prosper Douglas Bani for the Interior Ministry; and Mavis Amas Frimpong minister-designate for Eastern Region.
Presenting the report of the 25-member committee, chairman of the committee, Ebo Barton Odro said the committee observed that curriculum vitaes presented by the nominees were not properly done.
He therefore urged nominees to always take their time and prepare very well before appearing at the committee.
“The key observation made by the committee is that almost all the nominees did not take their time to write their curriculum vitae. In the event, there were many gaps and sometimes overlaps and seeming conflict in the CV’s submitted and the nominees were requested to re-submit their CVs.”
He added: “The Committee accordingly urges the nominees to exercise greater diligence in their respective endeavours”
Dr. Anthony Akoto, MP for Old Tafo, urged Mr Nii Lante to be careful at the Sports Ministry, which many critics say is being occupied by some ‘mafia’ thus making the place a tricky ground. He also asked the Minister pay attention to the various stadia in the country which are deteriorating by the day.
The Member of Parliament for Zibilla, Cletus Avoka urged Nii Lante Vanderpuiye, a former sports journalist, not to limit himself to football but should take interest in other sporting activities.
President is expected to swear them into office very soon.
