The Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service has initiated investigations into alleged diversion of funds of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The diversion of funds is alleged to have been committed by First Vice Chairman Freddie Blay and Treasurer Abankwah Yeboah.
A letter sighted by TV3 and addressed to the National Chairman of the party invited the two national officers to the headquarters of the CID on Friday for investigations.
Mr Blay has condemned the move, fingering the party’s National Chairman Paul Afoko and General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong as behind it.
