Ghana’s 4x100m relay team will ran at the Penn Relays later tonight in the United States of America.

The team will be looking to run a good time or essentially rack up a few more points to better their ranking and increase their chances or qualification to the Olympic Games in Paris.

The relay team is without Ghana’s record holder, Benjamin Azamati – who has been a member of the relay team since 2019. The team will also miss the services of Edwin Gadayi and Solomon Hammond who were part of the team that won silver at the African Games in Accra in March.

In their places, the team has welcomed Ibrahim Fuseini who finished 4th in the men’s 200m final at the Africa Games, Joseph Oduro Manu and Barnabas Aggerh who came in 6th place in the men’s 100m. The only member of the team from the African Games to make it to this competition is Joseph Paul Amoah

Ghana has been put in the same running group as Jamaica and will need extra efforts to defeat the athletic powerhouse.

Ghana’s race at the Penn Relays begins at 6:44 pm.
