New WBO Africa Featherweight title holder John Laryea, on Wednesday, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Executive Officer of Kantanka group of companies, Nana Kwadwo Safo Jnr in Accra.
The visit was the young champion’s first after he won the coveted belt when he knocked out Namibian boxer Sebastianus Nathanael in round 4 a fortnight ago at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.
During the visit, Nana Kwadwo Safo Jnr congratulated the 21-year-old Laryea on his success and advised him to focus on his career.

Using himself as an example, the Kantanka boss told Laryea to avoid any distractions if he wants to excel in the sport.
Nana Kwadwo Safo Jnr assured Laryea of Kantanka’s support and added that he’d personally monitor John’s subsequent bouts owing to his love for boxing.
In response, WBO Africa Featherweight champion thanked the Kantanka CEO and promised not to disappoint. Laryea also gave reverence to the Kantanka brand and urged Ghanaians to support their course.
John Laryea was accompanied by his manager Mr. Samuel Anim Addo and Trainer Carl Lokko.
