A 2-0 win by Asante Kotoko over Nigeria’s Kano Pillars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday saw the Ghanaian side make it to the next stage of the CAF Champions League qualifiers. A goal in each half ensured that Kotoko progress to play Tunisia’s Etoile Sportive du Sahel in the final round of qualification. It was the second leg of the prelimonary round of qualifiers. The Porcupine Warriors had lost 2-3 to Pillars a fortnight ago in the first leg but the score in Kumasi gave them a 4-3 aggregate win over the visitors. The goals were scored on Sunday by Kelvin Andoh and Emmanuel Gyamfi. Kotoko will host the first leg of the next qualifier on Sunday, September 15 before travelling to Tunis in two weeks’ time for the second leg. Source: editors.3news.com|Ghana
