Next year is going to be a busy year as far as the Ghanaian arts space is concerned. Many stakeholders have already unveiled what they have in stock and one of such is playwright Kobina Ansah. The writer-cum-director of ‘The Boy Called A Girl’ has hinted his first play for 2020 and it’s ‘Emergency Wedding’. It is sub-titled ‘Man has his timelines but God has the clock’. Kobina Ansah is known for his queer titles and interesting manner of telling stories, especially controversial ones. “Our new play is a double dose of everything we’ve ever served our patrons,” he explained. “We talk about childlessness, singleness after 30 and many other touchy themes.” Next year will be the fifth anniversary of Kobina Ansah’s Scribe Productions. They already have six plays to their credit. Source: editors.3news.com|Ghana
