A last-gasp penalty by Naby Keita Laye gave Asante Kotoko the much-needed win on Sunday as they beat Hearts of Oak 2-1 in their Matchday 6 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium. The visitors scored first through Justice Blay but Joseph Esso equalised for the Phobians, only for Keita to grab the winner in stoppage time. It was a match to behold as the two giants of Ghana Football wanted to make a statement, having had stuttering results in the 2019/20 season. Asante Kotoko started so well winning their first two opening games while Hearts lost their two matches to Berekum Chelsea and Medeama SC. While Kotoko’ s results nosedived into losses, one of which brought trouble to them by way of sanctions, Hearts stepped up their performance and at the last meeting before the Super Clash, came from a goal down to beat Liberty Professionals. But it was Maxwell Konadu who was determined to keep his unbeaten record in matches between the two giants as he guided the Porcupine Warriors to yet another win. The result returns Kotoko into the Top 4 with Hearts dropping deeper to 12th on the log. Source: editors.3news.com|Ghana
