The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has cancelled the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.
A decision was reached in a marathon meeting held on Tuesday, June 30.
The meeting was to decide on the way forward.
Prior to Tuesday’s meeting, the GFA, despite incessant pressure, maintained that it was only going to communicate its resolution by the end of the month.
The decision paves way for clubs to look beyond the season and plan ahead for the next one.
The Ghana Premier League was in its 15th week before Covid-19 forced its suspension.
