Football will come back stronger – Kurt Okraku

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, is optimistic that football in Ghana will resume stronger.

Football in Ghana has been on suspension since the outbreak of Covid-19, as a measure to curtail the spread of the virus.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his last speech on Ghana’s handling of the global pandemic on Sunday August 30, assured that football will return soon.

Speaking at the recently-held 26th GFA extraordinary congress, the GFA boss assured congressmen of a much better resumption of football.

“Our sport will come back stronger. It will unite us even better. We will be a stronger force. We will be the most loved sport and together, we will ignite passion and create wealth for all”

Kurt Okraku who sounded confidence told clubs to start preparing administratively ahead of the new football season.

“I am very positive about the upcoming season. Administratively, we can start to prepare”.

The GFA cancelled it’s 2019-2020 football season following the ban on contact sports by the Government.
