Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has indicated that the Ashanti Region Chairman of the party is a coward.

It would be recalled Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, in a press conference in Kumasi vowed to cause the arrest of the lawmaker if threats on his life are repeated.

He further cautioned Kennedy Agyapong to be mindful of his utterances during campaign.

Speaking in an interview with Connect FM’s Henry Eliud Yankey ahead of his Showdown Walk in the Western Region, Mr. Agyapong indicated that Chairman Wontumi is not man enough and that is why he is involving the police in their feud.

“Wontumi is a coward. He is not a man enough, he is now resorting to police and that’s why I did not respond to him,” he quickly responded.

The outspoken MP added that he fears no one in the NPP since he is capable of taking care of himself.

“I’m not scared of anyone in the NPP. I can take care of myself, I don’t need anything from the government because my business is thriving,” he added.

Ken Agyapong is No. 1 on the ballot as the NP go to the polls on Saturday, November 4 to elect its 2024 flagbearer.
