Chairman of the Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has sent what he describes as a piece of advice to Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) and 2024 flagbearer aspirant Kennedy Ohene Agyapong over the latter's constant threats to him.

He said the threats from are becoming one too many.

“When he gets up he says, we are all stupid. I regret for being in NPP, you are fools. ‘The way you speak, I will show you'. It is a ‘showdown' and all that, let it end today,” Mr Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, warned the lawmaker.

“If not and you threaten me again, I will get you arrested,” he added.

“This is advice I am giving you because that is what you did and Ahmed Suale and the likes are no more in this world, so I will plead with you that from today, don't let it be like that.”

Chairman Wontumi issued this salvo on Wednesday, October 4 while addressing the press in the Ashanti region capital in Twi to respond to comments made by Ken Agyapong in his address in after the Region's edition of his ‘Showdown Walk'.

On Saturday, September 30, the firebrand lawmaker dared Chairman Wontumi not to make a mistake to former member Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen.

Other than that, he warned, “he will see men in this country”.

“He will see men in . He has set up a radio station and a TV station and just insulting elders,” the presidential aspirant said in Twi.

“I am telling Wontumi that he should come and stand here. He was a ‘thick” Alan supporter and I convinced him to support President . I have no problem. If you support , I have no problem. If you support , I have no problem but don't insult.”

But Chairman Wontumi said with exactly one month to go to the NPP Presidential Primary, the Assin Central MP should rather outline what he can do.

“If you can do anything, in 2020 if Ashanti Region did not do well, what of ? How did things go? Was Chairman Wontumi there?” he asked regarding the fact that Ken Agyapong is from the Central Region.

“The truth is that Kennedy, say what you can do. If from today, 4th [of October], exactly one month to the elections, you can say what you can do, I am not interested in you losing but your talks should come with apology.”
