Carlos Manuel Vaz joins Hearts of Oak as Technical Director
Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak have appointed Carlos Manuel Vaz Pinto as the club’s new Technical Director, following weeks of media reports linking him to the Rainbow Family.
The Portuguese international joins in to strengthen Hearts of Oak’s technical team, which has Edward Nii Odoom as the stop-gap coach after the sacking of Kim Grant.

The 46-year old has previously handled Angolan clubs Clube Recreativo da Caala and Recreativo de Libolo.
He has had stint with Ethiopian powerhouse Saint George SA.
Carlos’ last job before Hearts of Oak was at FC Famalicão U23 where he was the head coach from September 2019 to June 2020. He played 26 matches, won 4, lost 11 and drew 11 in the process.
