The focus is on Uruguay – Kudus’ strong warning after heroics

Ajax FC and Black Stars midfield gem Mohammed Kudus says each and every one of his teammates is up for Friday’s encounter against Uruguay.

He says that is the focus now and the team will not leave anything to chance come Friday.

“We approach one game at a time,” he told FIFA after collecting his Man of the Match Award after Ghana’s 3-2 win over South Korea on Monday.

“We got the three points today and the focus is on Uruguay. So, we are going with the same mentality and the same attitude.

“I know everyone is up for it. We just recover, rest very well and get ready for the next game.”

Kudus’s brace gave Ghana the much-needed win over South Korea at the Education City Stadium in Doha.

With the Tigers of Asia fighting in the second half to cancel a 2-0 first-half lead by Ghana, the Ajax midfield dynamo rose to the occasion to scoop all the three points for Ghana.

The 2010 World Cup quarter-finalists will next face two-time winners Uruguay in the final Group H encounter at the Al Janoub Stadium.

La Celeste lost 0-2 to Portugal in their second group game, having played goalless with the Koreans in their opening game.
