Deputy Coordinator for the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN), student wing of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Ekow Djan has vowed to expose rot within the scholarship secretariat.
He alleged that officials at the scholarship are neck deep in corruption in the award of scholarship to students.
In a statement, Mr Djan indicated that some applicants are being charged illegal fees to enable them access the scholarship.
This situation, in his view, is denying deserving students the opportunity to access the scholarship to enable them further their education.
“In the coming days, I shall reveal to the populace what the [officials] are allegedly doing,” portions of his statement on published in a tweet on Saturday July 9.
Recently, a Deputy Communication Officer of the NDC, Mr Kwaku Boahen also indicated that he was going to petition the Special Prosecutor to investigate alleged shady deals at the secretariat.
Meanwhile, when editors.3news.com contacted the Scholarship Secretariat Boos, Mr Kingsley Agyeman for his response, he requested for Mr Djan’s statement which has since been forwarded to him.
