Red Star Belgrade winger Osman Bukari was on target for his team in a captivating UEFA Champions League fixture at the Etihad on Tuesday night.

The 24-year-old Ghana forward stood out for his team despite being defeated in their opening fixture as the defending champions secured a come-from-behind win.

Bukari scored a timely goal on the eve of halftime to break the deadlock in the game and give his team a surprise lead against Manchester City.

His goal was however cancelled immediately after the break thanks to a brilliant finish from Argentinean striker Julian Alvarez who later added another goal shooting his team into the lead.

Rodri sealed the victory in the 73rd minute by finishing off a pass from Phil Foden to clinch a 3-1 victory for his team.

Bukari has now scored four goals and provided two assists in eight games for the 1991 European champions.

After the game, Bukari took to his Twitter account to express his disappointment in the defeat despite his debut goal in the competition which came on his 50th appearance for the Serbian champions.

“Unfortunately, not the results we wanted but we will come back stronger! Thank y’all for the support!” he stated.

The former KAA Gent winger has now contributed to 31 goals for his club scoring 19 and assisting 12 times despite joining only at the beginning of last season.
