Hearts of Oak board member Vincent Sowah Odotei exudes confidence in the success of the club despite their poor start to the season.

The Phobians are enduring a torrid time in the Ghana Premier League stretching back from last season when they nearly suffered relegation following a poor run of results in the competition.

Their latest setback this season occurred over the weekend when they lost 3-2 to archrivals Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium leaving them in the ninth position with 16 points after 14 games.

However, Odotei believes, the club is still heading in the right direction and will soon bounce back.

“Hearts Of Oak’s goal is to be successful in everything we do, and this will not change.
The league is a marathon, not a sprint; we lost this battle, but the war is far from over; we will return to the drawing board, review the situation, and believe that the right decisions are being made” he told Akoma FM.

“I understand that the fans are dissatisfied, as are we, the Board of Directors, who are investing our money and time, however, I will appeal to them to remain calm while we work together with everyone to review why the on-field results do not correspond to the capacity we have as a club.”

The team will be hoping to bounce back when they travel to Abrankese to face another in-form side Nations FC who are currently enjoying a five-game winning streak
