Dortmund boss Edin Terzic has labeled Paris St-Germain as a team “built to win the Champions League” ahead of their semi-final clash on Wednesday, emphasising the French side’s decade-long pursuit of European glory.

As PSG aims to secure their first Champions League title, Terzic highlighted the hunger within his own team, acknowledging that while Dortmund may have less experience, they possess great determination.

“The project in Paris began with the goal of winning the Champions League. That’s been their main objective for a decade,” stated Terzic. “Maybe we’re the team with less experience, but we may have the greatest hunger.”

Terzic emphasised the importance of seizing the opportunity and rallying together as a team, including players, staff, and fans, to capitalise on the moment and make an impact in the semi-final clash.

On the other side, PSG manager Luis Enrique expressed his team’s eagerness to enjoy the special occasion of facing Dortmund, acknowledging the unique atmosphere of the Signa Iduna Park and the opportunity to make fans proud by reaching the final.

PSG, already crowned Ligue 1 champions for a third consecutive time, are set to face Dortmund, who are currently fifth in the Bundesliga.

“What’s great about being here is that we can enjoy a really special game at a unique stadium in Europe,” said the Spaniard.

“We have a chance to make our fans really happy by reaching the final. That’s what we’ve earned the right to do. We’ll try to enjoy that.”

Dortmund’s season has been below their usual standards, finding themselves outside the Bundesliga’s top four. Despite playing 31 matches and accumulating 57 points, they lag five points behind fourth-placed Leipzig.

As the German season nears its end with just three matches remaining, Dortmund are aiming to secure a spot in the next season’s Champions League. Alternatively, they must win this season’s competition to secure automatic qualification for the following season, with PSG as their formidable opponent in the semi-final.
