Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand gushed over Mohammed Kudus’ incredible goal against Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old started the game in Merseyside, his third consecutive start of the season, and he produced a moment of magic in the first half.

Mohammed dribbled past Virgil van Dijk, turned inside the box, and unleashed a venomous left-foot strike that found the net via the underside of the bar.

“What a devastating finish. No keeper in the world saves that,” said Ferdinand on BT Sport.

The Ghana international’s goal cancelled out Mohammed Salah’s composed finish, but Liverpool grabbed a late winner courtesy of Joel Matip.

Mohammed Kudus, who tried to leave Ajax in the summer transfer window, has scored five goals in his last four games.

The former Ghana U17 and U20 player refused to train 48 hours before the transfer window closed in an attempt to force a move to Everton after agreeing personal terms with the Premier League.

Mohammed Kudus was irritated by his bench role despite having a fantastic pre-season, scoring four goals.
