France captain Kylian Mbappe has been left out of PSG’s pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea, adding to the uncertainty surrounding his future at the French champions.

The 22-year-old’s contract situation has raised doubts about his long-term commitment to the French giants, with reports suggesting he has not agreed to a new deal, leaving him free to leave on a free transfer next summer.

Several top clubs, including Real Madrid, have been linked with a potential move for Mbappe. Despite stating his intention to stay at PSG for one more year, his absence from the pre-season tour raises further questions about his plans.

Mbappe’s reluctance to engage in contract negotiations has caused tensions at the Parc des Princes. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi expressed his disappointment, and some of the striker’s teammates have reportedly expressed concerns, labelling the club as “divisive.”

Mbappe has etched his name in the history books at PSG by becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer. With an impressive tally of 212 goals in 260 appearances, he surpassed the record previously held by Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani, who now plays for Valencia.
