Asante Kotoko ended years of hurt in Dormaa as they impressively beat Aduana Stars at the Nana Agyeman Badu I park on Saturday.

The Porcupine Warriors recorded a 2-0 victory in the Ghana Premier League top-of-the-table clash thanks to goals from Cameroonian George Mfegue and Richmond Lamptey.

This victory is Kotoko’s first in Dorma since Aduana made their league debut in 2010. In the last 11 visits, Kotoko also failed to score.

But Mfegue ended the unwanted record in the first half when he headed home from a corner kick after 19 minutes.

Aduana’s hopes of salvaging a point ended in the 94th minute as Lamptey fired in a rebound from close range.

The win means Kotoko are back on top of the table. Kotoko are three points clear at the top despite playing a game less.

This is a fantastic response to MTN FA Cup exit in midweek at the hands of rivals King Faisal. Kotoko fans will be proud.
