Newly-appointed coach of the Black Stars, Milovan Rajevac has said he was not desperate for the Black Stars job.

He, however, said he is happy to have been reappointed as coach of the senior national team.

Asked whether he was desperate for the job during his investiture on Friday, September 4, he said among other things that “I was not desperate but I feel happy.”

During the press encounter, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kurt Okraku said Rajevac will not live in a hotel through his stay in the country.

The Serbian has agreed a one-year deal with the GFA. The extension of the contract is based on qualification to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

According to the GFA, Rajevac will be paid a monthly salary of $30,000.

He is also entitled to a $600,000 bonus if he wins next year’s Africa cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon and secures the World Cup qualification.

Rajevac is his first spell guided to the World Cup quarter-finals and Afcon final, both in 2010.
