Karela United have extended their lead at the top of the table with an impressive 2-0 victory against Liberty Professionals. Umar Bashiru and Kwame Boateng secured the goals for the Ayinase based club as they cruised to victory against the Scientific Soccer Lads at home. This result gives them a 4 point cushion at the top of the table after Accra Great Olympics and Dreams FC dropped points during the weekend.

Hearts of Oak were involved in a very exciting 5-goal thriller. A brace from Victor Aidoo was complemented by an Isaac Mensah strike to take the Phobians past Ebusua Dwarfs. This win will definitely take off some of the pressure that has been building over the club over the past week. They now move into 9th place with 9 points off the top. Dwarfs meanwhile slip closer towards the bottom of the table and have now lost two games on the bounce.

Ashanti Gold put in a ruthless display against Aduana Stars, putting 4 goals past their visitors in the first game of the weekend. Frank Akoto and Yaw Annor were among the goalscorers on Friday. This win took Ashanti Gold above Aduana Stars and puts them within 3 points off Accra Great Olympics in second place.

Berekum Chelsea continued their fine run of form after beating Dreams FC 1-0 at home. Chelsea have now won 3 out of their last 4 games and find themselves in the top 10 of the league log. Dreams FC failed to take their chance to move into second place, their 2021 form has been very good and they will definitely be looking to come back stronger in their next fixture.

Techiman Eleven Wonders were resolute in their display against Accra Great Olympics which stopped a terrible run of form in the league for Ignatius Fosu’s side. Tetteh Nortey came up with the winning goal which gave the Techiman-based side a slim 1-0 victory against Great Olympics

Bechem United were disappointed to drop points after drawing 1-1 with Legon Cities. Bashir Hayford’s side have been steadily gaining ground on the teams above them, they are now unbeaten in their last 5 fixtures and are moving away from the relegation zone.

Inter Allies have finally won a game after losing three of their last 4 games. Nafui Suleman’s strike was enough to give his side a 1-0 victory against WAFA which will give Inter Allies some optimism as they try to save themselves from the drop.

Elmina Sharks lost to Medeama by 2-1. A brace for Ahmed Toure was enough to give Medeama all three points as they went away to Sharks.

Asante Kotoko’s game vs King Faisal was postponed because the Porcupine Warriors are in Algeria playing against ES Setif in the CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers during the weekend.
