Aduana Stars maintained their impressive form with a hard-fought 1-0 victory against AshantiGold in Obuasi on Wednesday.

Midfielder Sam Adams’ first-half goal was enough to help Aduana earn a fifth consecutive victory in the Ghana Premier League.

Second-placed Aduana are now level on points with leaders King Faisal who dropped points against Accra Lions at the Sogakope Stadium.

The match ended goalless with King Faisal feeling disappointed because they missed the opportunity to extend their lead at the top.

In the morning, Great Olympics ended their four-game winless run with a 2-0 win against Bibiani Gold Stars.

James Akaminko opened the scoring in the 19th minute and Maxwell Abbey sealed three points with an 83rd minute strike.

The striker leads the top scorers’ chart with seven goals.

Youngster Fatawu Issahaku scored his sixth goal to inspire Dreams FC to a 3-1 home victory against Karela United, Medeama beat Legon Cities despite an uninspiring performance, and Gladson Awako ensured Hearts of Oak’s first win of the season.
