Godfred Akolbila clinches victory in thrilling finale of 2023 Ghana’s Strongest

Godfred Akolbila emerged triumphant in the gripping grand finale of the highly anticipated 2023 Ghana’s Strongest competition.

Akolbila’s remarkable journey to victory was marked by his exceptional performance in a series of staggering challenges, including the Truck Pull, Jumbo Deadlift, Superset Bench Press, Giant Tyre Flip, and Aboboyaa Deadlift.

Participants from different regions of Ghana pushed themselves to the limit in the hotly contested competition, which was held at the Obra Spot, Kwame Nkrumah Circle, in a test of physical prowess and determination to succeed. This triumph served as the reward for Godfred Akolbila’s years of commitment and effort. He made a seventh participation, which ultimately led him to win the title having finished third in the previous season.

Akolbila walked away with a dazzling array of prizes. As the newly crowned champion, he earned a brand-new car. Additionally, he was rewarded with a substantial cash prize of GHC 10,000 cedis as well as a gold medal. Akolbila also took home 100 bags of Ghacem cement.

Ebenezer Amos, popularly known as Chillyn from the Western Region also showcased his growth and determination by securing a second-place finish this year. Having fought his way up from a fourth-place finish in the previous edition. His achievement was celebrated with a prize of GHC 8,000 cedis, in addition to a silver medal and 70 bags of cement from Ghacem.

Bright Appiah, also known as SWAT, from the Western Region, finished behind Amos, a position lower than his previous achievement of first runner-up last year. However, he demonstrated consistency and tenacity, solidifying his status as a force to be reckoned with.

The 2023 edition of Ghana’s Strongest also welcomed new talent onto the stage. Jeffrey from Greater Accra region, made an impressive debut appearance. While securing a commendable fourth-place finish, Akuffo displayed promise and determination. His performance earned him a cash prize of GHC 4,000, providing him with well-deserved recognition for his efforts.

Akolbila demonstrated that experience was a crucial component in all of the battles that tried these men’s endurance and strength as he triumphed over his rivals.
