Ghana youngster Ernest Nuamah has been named by CIES Football Observatory as the most expensive left winger among U-21s playing for a non-top-five league club in Europe.

With a value of €15.4m, the FC Nordjaelland forward topped a list of 10 youngsters beating competition from Sergey Pinyaev and Myron Van Brederode, the only other two, valued above €10m in the list.

The 19-year-old has been in sensational form stretching from last season where he scored eight goals with four assists in the Danish Super League which earned him three individual awards as he bagged the Danish Superliga Player of the Year by the league’s jury, Spring Best Player by the Superliga head coaches and Player of the Year by the Superliga players.

He has also been named in the 100-man list for the 2023 Golden Boy Award.

Nuamah has continued from where he left off last season bagging a hat-trick in FC Nordsjaelland’s 4-1 win over Viborg in their opening 2023/24 Danish Superliga match.

His recent performances have not only earned him a position in Ghana’s U-23 side but also a place in the Black Stars, as he made his debut against Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in June.

His outstanding achievements have also drawn the interests of elite teams like Paris Saint-Germain, who are looking for long-term alternatives for Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe whose future is uncertain.
