Osman Bukari continued in great form for Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade as they defeated Spartak Subotica in the Serbia Super Liga on Sunday.

In their fourth game of the season, the team began on the front foot and dominated their opponents throughout the encounter at the Stadion Rajko Mitić.

The Black Stars winger stepped up again with a brilliant goal in the 20th minute which left the crowd in awe.

The swift attacker received a long pass on the right flank from Dragovic and with his pace, sped brilliantly past his markers while diagonally controlling the ball into the box. From a very tight angle, the 24-year-old blasted the ball into the roof of the net with pure technique to give his team the lead.

Red Star Belgrade added two more goals from Mihailo Bogicevic and King Kangwa to ensure a 3-0 win for the Serbian heavyweights who have now won four out of four games in the ongoing campaign.

Bukari on the other hand now has three goals from four matches and sits third on the top scorers chat only behind teammate Jean-Philippe Krasso and Milos Lukovic who have scored four and five goals respectively.

As the Black Stars attempt to avoid defeat in order to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which will be held in Ivory Coast next year, Buakari is anticipated to be chosen in Ghana’s upcoming squad to face the Central African Republic.

Bukari is Ghana’s last scorer having climbed off the bench to get the team the equaliser against Angola in the AFCON qualifiers in March.
