Eight matches in Ghana Premier League Week 4 ended with 15 goals scored and WAFA drawing with Hearts of Oak at home. The Medeama and Kotoko game had it all! Free kicks, yellow cards, missed chances and a red card drama. Medeama were awarded a penalty in the second minute of the game and Prince Opoku Agyemang kicked the ball into the net. It should be put on record that the striker has scored 4 goals so far this season and that puts him right behind Yahaya Mohammed, who is leading with 5 goals. Right after half time, Kotoko seemed to have gained momentum as they piled pressure on Medeama but the latter came prepared. Imoro Ibrahim made a rush tackle in the 60th minute to get a second yellow card, sending him out of the game. It was a dream debut for Meshack Odoom as his side defended the goal to claim all three points to move top of the league table. Maxwell Konadu made all his three substitutions before the 70th minute to put his side back on track but to no avail. Kotoko woes deepened as they lost their second game in a row. However, Kotoko PRO Kennedy Boakye Ansah assured the supporters they will win against Dwarfs come Sunday. There were no goals scored between WAFA and Hearts of Oak. However, WAFA remain unbeaten in the league. Hearts of Oak, on the other hand, have recorded one win in 4 games and that is not a good sign if they want to fight for the title. The match was one of the three games which ended with no cards given the players. Aduana was left shocked in the hands of Eleven Wonders as the latter recorded their first win of the season. Asamoah Godfred scored from the penalty spot to take his side from the relegation zone. In the late kick-off AshantiGold also maintained their unbeaten run after holding Legon Cities FC to a goalless game at the Accra Stadium. The Royals are yet to win a match this season. The games of Match Week 4 – barring the Great Olympics and Karela FC game to be played on Thursday – ended with 15 yellow cards and a red card.
